Vikram Gokhale got a headache in one of his letters. In an interview in 2020, Vikram Gokhale opened up about his relationship equation with teammate Amitabh. When Amitabh Bachchan came to know about this, he wrote a personal letter to the then Maharashtra Chief Minister Manohar Joshi. Then I got a house to live in from the government. It was only because of his recommendation that I was able to overcome the problem. I still have that letter framed. “
Vikram Gokhale also said, “Today I feel very proud to think that we know each other. We have been friends for more than 55 years. I still look at Amitabh’s pictures. His behavior impresses me again and again. One day a week I only see Amitabh’s picture. It is mine. Years of practice.”
Vikram got a golden opportunity to work with Amitabh in his debut movie Parwana in 1971. Later, late actor Vikram Gokhale shared the screen with Amitabh Bachchan in several Bollywood films like Agneepath and Khuda Gawah. Vikram won the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2011.
He received this award for his significant contribution to Marathi theatre. Late actor Vikram Gokhale also won the National Award for Best Actor for the Marathi movie Anumati.
