Following his arrest for allegedly aiding Tunisha Sharma’s suicide, the actor’s judicial imprisonment has been prolonged for a further 14 days. On December 26, Valiv Police in Palghar district detained the 27-year-old actor.
Sheezan’s mother and sisters, actresses Shafaq Naaz and Falaq Naaz, addressed these allegations at a press conference they held in Mumbai on Monday morning. They also boldly asserted that the actor is being “tortured in jail.”

The family made it clear that they, too, “want justice for Tunisha,” even though they did not go into detail about how Sheezan is being tortured. The 20-year-old Tunisha Sharma passed away last Saturday while filming Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul. Police declared it to be a suicide.
The next day, Sheezan was detained when Tunisha’s mother allegedly assisted in the crime. Sheezan’s family responded to Tunisha’s family’s accusations by telling the media that they were unfounded and that claims of love jihad and black magic were “sad.” They also refuted claims that Sheezan used drugs or was violent with Tunisha.
The family also discussed the claims of love jihad made recently by Tunisha’s mother and her uncle. Many others shared a photo of Tunisha wearing a hijab as “evidence” of the accusations made about the love jihad on social media. According to Sheezan’s relatives, she only wore the clothing while filming and not in her daily life.
They also refuted claims that Sheezan was pressuring her to don the hijab or become a Muslim. On Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul, Tunisha, and Sheezan collaborated and had a friendship. 15 days before her suicide, they split up. According to the police inquiry, Tunisha was under a lot of stress due to their separation. According to Sheezan’s family, the breakup was widely known.
