Popular Korean pop star dies at Halloween celebration in Seoul

Vivid News 24: Lee Ji-hoon, a South Korean actor, passed away after being crushed during a Seoul Halloween festival. The news was confirmed by the actor’s agency, 935 Entertainment. At least 150 individuals are said to have perished in the rush. The agency of the late actor stated, “They wished the report was untrue.

However, they then learned that Lee Ji Hoon, an actress, had passed away last October 29 in Seoul at the Halloween festival due to trampling. Peace be upon him.” In response to the incident, 935 Entertainment offered its sympathy. The actor’s family is reportedly in mourning, according to reports.

The 24-year-old Han’s co-stars had earlier shared the news of his death on Instagram. Korean actors Park Hee Seok, Kim Do Hyun, and Jo Jinhyung said that Ji Han has passed away. They appealed to the people of South Korea to bid a final farewell to the late actor.

It should be noted that at least 150 people died after being trampled at the Halloween festival in Seoul last Saturday night. According to international media reports, most of the casualties are teenagers and young adults. At least 26 foreign nationals also died in the stampede along with the locals, according to the media. 

The dead are said to be residents of America, China, Iran, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Japan, Australia, Norway, France, Russia, Austria, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. Locals claim that the area of ​​Seoul is crowded on Halloween. But they claim that the crowd like the day of the incident has never happened before.

A Halloween festival was organized in Seoul after the Covid pandemic. At least tens of thousands of people gathered in the city to join in the fun. On the winding narrow streets, Halloween parties are said to have been held. It is reported that the incident happened when the rush started suddenly in the crowd.

Meanwhile, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has expressed deep grief over the incident in Seoul. National mourning has been declared by the government. The country’s pop stars have decided to suspend and close several shows in the wake of actor Lee Ji-hoon’s death. Horrifying pictures from the festive city have gone viral on social media. It is not clear what exactly caused this incident.
