Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inducted 7 ministers in his cabinet

Vivid News 24: At Shimla’s Raj Bhavan, the swearing-in ceremony for the Himachal Pradesh cabinet members has started. The oath to serve as a cabinet minister has been taken by the son of former chief minister Virbhadhra Singh and MLA Vikramaditya Singh.

Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil, Chander Kumar, Harshwardhan Chauhan, Jagat Singh Negi, Rohit Thakur, Anirudh Singh, and Vikramaditya Singh were the seven MLAs who took the oath to serve as cabinet ministers.

Among those present at the occasion are CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri, and Himachal Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar. It follows the earlier announcement by Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu that the party’s high command has received a list of 10 candidates for the next Cabinet enlargement.

The list of potential ministers has been given to the party’s top command, and it won’t be expanded until Mallikarjun Kharge, the president of the Congress, has approved it. Said Sukhu.

Vikramaditya Singh, the son of former chief minister Virbhadhra Singh, and Dhani Ram Shandil, the oldest MLA, are two of the seven new lawmakers who will join the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, according to news agency PTI, which cited party sources.

Vikramaditya was elected from Shimla Rural, while Shandil (82) won the Solan assembly seat by defeating his son-in-law. Harshwardhan Singh Chauhan, a five-term MLA for Shillai, will also be sworn in, top party sources told PTI on Saturday.

The five-term MLAs Chander Kumar, Jagat Singh Negi, and Rohit Thakur were also announced to be taking their oaths of office as ministers on Sunday. After returning from Delhi, where he had discussions on the matter with top party officials, Sukhu predicted that the extension of the Himachal Cabinet will likely take place on Sunday or later.

It should be noted that the council of ministers has 10 openings, despite the fact that Himachal Pradesh is only allowed a maximum of 12 ministers, including the chief minister and deputy chief minister. Three of the twelve districts of the hill state will be represented by Chamba native Kuldeep Pathania, five-time MLA from Bhatiyyat Agnihotri, and CM Sukhu of Hamirpur.

Sukhu had previously stated that the cabinet would be enlarged in collaboration with the Congress high leadership and would include a mixture of professionals, young people, and members of different sections. The hill state’s chief minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, was appointed after Congress won 40 of the 68 assembly seats in the state legislative elections.”
