Earthquake kills 6 people in Nepal, earthquake tremors in Delhi too

Vivid News 24: Tremors felt in Delhi. There was chaos in the capital in the early hours of Wednesday. The earthquake killed at least 6 people in Nepal on Wednesday. Many houses were destroyed. The earthquake measured 6.3 on the Richter scale. About 10 km below the surface was the place where the earthquake occurred. The Nepal earthquake has affected Delhi. The National Capital Region, popularly known as the NCR, is also affected by the earthquake apart from the capital. 

According to the National Center for Seismology, the source of the earthquake was Pithoragarh on the Nepal border in Uttarakhand. The National Center for Seismology tweeted about this as soon as the earthquake was felt. However, the extent of damage in Delhi and its surrounding areas was not known until this news was published.

In the last 24 hours, the earthquake was felt in Nepal for the second time. An earthquake struck Nepal on Tuesday morning. At that time, the intensity of the earthquake on the Richter scale was 4.5. The tremor was felt 155 km northeast of the capital Kathmandu on Tuesday morning. The source of the tremor was 100 km below the surface of Seber.

 The National Center for Seismology tweeted Tuesday about the incident. Nepal has been rocked by earthquakes repeatedly this year. It has affected the cities of North India. On October 19, an earthquake occurred in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. The magnitude of the quake was 5.1 on the Richter scale. The source of the tremor was 10 km below the surface. The epicenter was 53 km east of Kathmandu.

Earlier in July of this year, Nepal was also shaken by the earthquake. The magnitude of the tremor was 6 on the Seber-Richter scale. The epicenter of the tremor was in the Katong district of Kathmandu. However, in 2015, this state in the lap of the Himalayas had to bear the horrors of the earthquake. In 2015, the magnitude of the earthquake was 7.8 on the Richter scale. 

The tremors were felt between Pokhara and Kathmandu. 8 thousand 964 people lost their lives due to the Seber earthquake. More than 22,000 people were injured when their houses collapsed. The 2015 earthquake was named Gorkha Earthquake. In addition to several states in northern India, the intensity of the tremor was felt in Lahore, the Tibetan capital Lhasa and the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.

But the most terrible earthquake happened in Nepal in 1934. According to official records, the magnitude of the quake was 8 on the Seber-Richter scale.
