This time, 12 people have been beheaded in Saudi Arabia in the last 10 days on suspicion of being involved in drug gangs. Most of them are reported to have been beheaded with swords. According to reports, 3 Pakistanis, 4 Syrians, 2 Jordanians, and 3 Saudi Arabians were beheaded out of 12 drug-related suspects. After such a cruel picture of Saudi Arabia came to light, there was a storm of condemnation around the world. However, this incident is not the first in Saudi Arabia. Last March, 81 people were executed in one day. That’s exactly how it is.
This is the highest execution in one day in the history of Saudi Arabia. Earlier in 1980, 63 people accused of occupying the Grand Mosque of Mecca were beheaded and sentenced to death. It is reported that 81 people were beheaded on the charges of involvement in multiple crimes, including allegations of connivance with militant groups.

The Saudi government has come under global pressure to change its stance on the death penalty after the killing of an American journalist. This is why the Prince of Saudi Arabia promised to reduce the death penalty. But despite Yuvraj’s announcement, it was not implemented, and the incident of the beheading of 12 people is considered clear again.
A news agency claims that the number of executions in Saudi Arabia this year has exceeded the number of 2020-21 combined. According to the report of the news agency, 132 people have been sentenced to death by beheading in Saudi Arabia this year.
